Holy Cross’ High Performer Athlete Program is Steam-Rolling into its Second Year of Existence!
Holy Cross Catholic Academy proudly invites all families who are interested in the High Performer Athlete (HPA) program to attend an Open House being held at the school on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 7pm. The Open House will provide visitors with essential program details and allow time for questions.
The HPA program is an academic-based program for elite student-athletes who participate in regional, provincial, national, or international competition, and who have aspirations to obtain their high school diploma and continue on to a post-secondary institution either in Canada, the United States, or abroad.
Students in Holy Cross’ HPA program will benefit from a flexible timetable to help balance both their academic and athletic commitments. Programming is specifically designed to meet the immediate and long-terms needs of the student-athlete. In addition, HPA students will also have a dedicated HPA Coordinator to help monitor their academic progress and advise on courses that will work with their unique timetables.
The program is open to all high school students in York Region and surrounding municipalities who compete at a high level in their respective sport. The HPA application package will be shared at the November 20th Open House, and is also available via the HPA program website, www.holycrosshpa.ca. The deadline to register is November 30, 2018. Space is limited.

In our inaugural year, we have reached maximum capacity of eligible candidates and expect to exceed those numbers in 2019. We have long recognized a need in our community for flexible academic programming and now have a recognized program that supports elite student-athletes as they strive towards academic and athletic excellence.”
