On Wednesday, May 26th, 2021, Holy Cross Catholic Academy hosted the first YCDSB Virtual Math Team Competition based on the Canadian Team Mathematics Contest provided by the University of Waterloo. Ten teams of 6 secondary school students in any combination of grades competed in three events: team questions, individual problems and a math relay.
On behalf of the coordinators, Mr. Chappell. Mrs. Giuliano and Mrs. Ranieri, we’d like to commend all of our participants on their efforts and optimistic attitude. Our goal for the day was to foster teamwork between students by solving a variety of challenging problems, using innovative and creative solutions and having fun while doing so. We are pleased to see our vision reach fruition!
